Refund policy

Your right to return

You have 14 days from the day your order arrives to change your mind, for any reason - no explanation needed. This is your right under EU consumer law, and we're not interested in making it difficult.

Email houseof18th@gmail.com with your order number to start a return. Once you've told us, you have another 14 days to send the piece back.

How to send it back

You arrange and pay for the return postage. Two options, both fine:

Post it to us: House Of 18th Jewellery [STREET ADDRESS] Aizpute, LV-3456, Latvia

Or use any parcel point in Aizpute - Omniva, DPD, Venipak or Latvijas Pasts, whichever is closest to you. Email us first so we can send you the exact pick-up details.

Please pack the piece well and keep your postage receipt until the refund lands.

What you get back

The full price of the item plus the original shipping you paid on the order. Nothing is deducted from your refund.

The only cost that stays with you is the postage to send the piece back to us. You pay that directly to the post office or parcel point - we don't take it off your refund.

If you paid extra for a faster delivery option, we refund the standard delivery rate for your country. If your order shipped free, there's no shipping cost to refund.

When you get it back

Within 7 working days of your parcel reaching us, once we've checked the piece. The money goes back the same way you paid it. If that isn't possible, we'll refund to your bank account.

When we can't accept a return

  • The piece has been worn, damaged, altered or resized
  • It comes back without its original packaging
  • It's outside the 14-day window
  • It was made or engraved to order

Earrings can't be returned once the seal is broken, for hygiene reasons.

Size exchanges

Email houseof18th@gmail.com with your order number and the size you want. Same 14-day window, same return options above.

Faulty pieces

Every piece is checked before it leaves us. If something arrives faulty or breaks through no fault of yours, email us with a photo. You get a free repair or replacement and we cover the postage both ways - this section overrides everything above.

Normal wear isn't a fault. Silver tarnishes and plating wears with time; that's the nature of the material, not a defect. Our care guide tells you how to slow it down.

Customs

Orders outside the EU may attract customs duty or import charges on arrival. Those are set by your country and are yours to pay. If you refuse a parcel and it comes back to us, we refund the item price minus the return shipping the courier charges us.
